I'm going to try and build my own Post-AoE Nerf PvE Smiting Monk. I want this so I can make myself a Mo/Me, but I don't want to play with other people. A strictly henchman Monk. But first I want to brainstorm, any good idea's? (Gee, I sure hope GuildWiki isn't slow tonight

The Monk Smiting and Mesmer Domination skills can inflict quite a bit of damage. Just look at the combos you like and then experiment from there. A PvE smiting monk can be lots of fun. Just remember that if you're not playing with henchies and you join up with a pug, you let them know you don't heal.

A few quick thoughts for offensive casting as a smiting monk.

Something as simple as Smite Hex can inflict A LOT of damage. And Backfire can be helpful, too. Also, a great combination is to use the Mesmer skill, Mantra of Signets, followed by the Monk elite, Signet of Judgment. It lets you cast the elite damage dealing skill, Signet of Judgment, twice in a row, rapidly. This does a significant amount of damage to multiple enemies and also knocks down.

There are lots of ideas for very fun smiting monk builds. These are just a few quick thoughts.
